Akasha Center Cyprus, is a pioneer yoga center who brought the art of Aerial Yoga in Cyprus in 2012 by Marilena Shyama Shakti, fist certified aerial yoga teacher in Cyprus. In 2013 with Tanya Popovich they offered the first Aerial Yoga Teacher Training in Cyprus, continuing now with this new training.
In this course we study the therapeutic and traditional use of the hammock in order to support body and mind to connect and release traumas stored in the body. With 20 years of teaching experience in Yoga and 10 years in Aerial field, education and practice with various levels of students and special population, Marilena has created this course with special care and love, to encourage all instructors to use aerial hammock as a prop for therapeutic and restoring purposes, as well encouraging mind- body connection. Course is open to all yoga teachers and everyone who wish to learn Āḗrial Therapeutics.
ĀḖRIAL THERAPEUTICS it’s an ĀḖTHERIAL restorative & releasing yoga done on soft trapeze hanging from the ceiling. Hammock is used to properly align the body in Yogāsanas, as well as to help the student practice Kriyās, Prāṇāyāma, Bandhas in a contemplative way. It is a Mindful practice great to connect mind and body.

Āḗrial Therapeutics Yoga Teacher Training, is a unique and complete training on aerial yoga field, teaching students Marilena’s method of Aerial Yoga that has been created & established after years of practice and teaching.

Combines aerial yoga asanas, healing, therapeutic and restorative yogic practices, yin yoga, breathing techniques and more.

With 10 years of teaching experience in Aerial Yoga field, education and experimentation with various levels of students and special population, it has been created this course with special care and love, to encourage all instructors to use this yoga style as a support to deeper their yoga practice and their students in a different way and level.

This Continuing Education specialization Teacher training course is open to:

  • Certified Yoga Teachers
  • Practitioners who wish to deepen their knowledge.

Long time practitioners who wish to attend the course can do so, but they will not be certified as long as they do not fulfil the above requirements.

Courses require dedication to one’s transformation and evolution, so it’s important to be open and curious!

This training is accredited by Silentruth Institute. Silentruth Institute is accredited by International Yoga Alliance.

The aspirants who pass the exam and therefore meets all required aspects and qualities of a teacher then will graduate and receive a diploma of 50hr Continuing Education Teacher Training.
